Scholarships
For Military Programs
America’s Gold Star Families annually awards $1000 scholarships to family members of a fallen hero while serving active duty. Each is a non-renewable scholarship to be used at a college/university or trade/vocational school of their choice to enable them to follow their aspirations for a higher education or vocation certification. This is our way of saying ‘Thank you from a grateful nation.
Scholarship Guidelines
Since the inception of the Scholarship Program, AGSF has awarded $40,000.00+ in scholarships to dependents of the fallen to help accomplish their goals and pursue their dreams. In 2023, we will award a total of twenty-five (25) additional $1,000 scholarships for study at a College or University or for courses leading to Trade/Vocational School certification. The award check will be made out to the college, university, or trade school, so you will be required to provide documentation of acceptance into the course of study. You can find the details in the “Scholarship Application” by clicking here.
Eligibility
The scholarship opportunity is open to family members who lost a loved one in active-duty military service to our country. This could include not only dependent children of the fallen, but also parents, spouses, adult children, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, or grandchildren of service members. See the “Scholarship Application” for guidelines on how to provide proof of meeting eligibility requirements.
