What We Do
Visit our Gallery for photos of our events
America’s Gold Star Families was founded to provide honor, hope and healing to those grieving any military loss while serving active duty. We are open to all family members who have lost a loved one while serving active duty in the United States Armed Forces.
- Abraham Lincoln 1865
President Lincoln’s admonishment is what we at AGSF endeavor to do on a daily basis with the following programs, services and partnerships.
AGSF provides support, resources, and programs to survivors of active-duty military loss through these programs:
- Birthday Card Program.
- Fallen Hero Ornament.
- Scholarships for children of the fallen.
- Hometown Hero Banner.
Please click the corresponding box below for more information on any of our programs.
Over the years, America’s Gold Star Families has assisted hundreds of family members of the fallen in their quest for mental health. All counseling is underwritten by AGSF and employs a highly qualified counselor.
If you have any questions about the above, please email info@americasgoldstarfamilies. All inquires will be kept confidential.
In our Mission to provide Honor, Hope and Healing, it is important that the children and siblings who have experienced the loss of a parent or sibling through active-duty military service know they are not forgotten.
25 $1000 scholarships to dependents of Fallen Heroes across the US to pursue higher education
To remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, it is our privilege to create unique ornaments representing fallen heroes across the USA who died while on active-duty.
Underwriting grief counseling for Illinois residents
Working with local legislators to rename highways after Fallen Heroes and erect Gold Star Highway/ByWay Markers
What We Don't Do
PLEASE NOTE: We do not have an exhaustive national database of every gold star family in the USA. Weekly AGSF receives calls asking for a list of gold star families in various communities across the country. We do not have this information. Check with your local veterans organizations to see if they know of any. Thank you.
